Biography:




Lucy Zhang is a neurodivergent artist from the greater Philadelphia area with roots in northeastern China. They graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2024, where they studied Studio Arts, various area studies, and Sociology. They are currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Lucy works across many mediums including photography, painting, writing, and installation, and often adopts processes of collage, appropriation, meditation, and dreaming. Their practice explores the deep interconnectedness of family, memory, environment, and cultural history, and considers different ways of knowing, being, and relating.

Lucy’s work has been featured in various University of Pittsburgh Art Gallery Exhibits and the Lab @ Silver Eye Pop-up Show New Horizons. They also do stick and poke tattoos @zhazhatattoo.
